Treat Plastic and Rubber with Sureshield

Two directions, many options

Treat plastic and rubber materials with Sureshield in one of two ways: build in protection at the master batch stage using treated pellets or coat parts after forming.

Treated Pellets

For most types of plastic and rubber, treated pellets can be added to native resin at a low level of use prior to extrusion or molding. Sureshield-treated pellets become part of the overall plastic or rubber and do not affect color or physical properties. Sureshield pellets are treated with an antimicrobial additive. When added to the resin, they provide built-in protection from the growth of odor and stain-causing bacteria, molds, mildews, and fungi on the plastic. Sureshield pellets are easy to handle and can be transported by air, sea, or ground.

Coatings

Should you prefer, or need, to add a treatment to your plastic or rubber after you mold or extrude it, Sureshield coatings are the answer. Available in liquid or powder form, Sureshield coatings are specially designed for various plastic resins to inhibit the growth of odor and stain-causing bacteria, molds, mildews, and fungi on the coating as well provide built-in antifingerprint and easy-to-clean properties.

Sureshield liquid coatings can be sprayed on using conventional or advanced spray equipment and can be air dried or force dried with heat. Most Sureshield liquid coatings are waterborne, environmentally friendly, and can be transported by air, sea, or ground.

Sureshield powder coatings can be applied to plastic components that can withstand at least 275℉ (135℃) and can hold a charge. With no VOC's, and up to 100% reclaimable use, Sureshield powder coatings are environmentally friendly and efficient. All Sureshield powder coatings are easy to handle and can be transported by air, sea, or ground.
